Finger less gloves are sometimes valid. See people in self propelled wheel chairs, as well as I think some lifting gloves with hooks built in might have that design. The large metal hook design is kind of shit though since it isn’t adjustable at all like a wrap around version that uses heavy duty webbing is.

I would like to agree with you but then we’d both be wrong. 
I wish I could follow the advice I give my kids more often, I’d have told them no to engage like I did.
