Moving to Florida. Any place to ride mountain boards?

I’m getting ready to take my diy board with me to Florida. I have currently only rode on the street. I was planning on getting mbs 9" t2 wheels for off-road. I’m just wondering if there is much off-road riding in Florida or would I be better off getting the 8" mbs explorers as I imagine they do better in the sand and grass and such

Florida is a big state.
Pretty different in the Panhandle, compared to Miami, 800 miles away.

I’m on gulf coast, south of Tampa, north of Fort Meyers. I got 8x3 turf tires on my front truck being pushed by 90mm hub motors on 10s on rear.

Kind of surprised how well I can traverse the crushed shell trails I’ve come across round here.

My 8x3 turfs are now bald in center.

I’m looking at the same or even bigger tires for up front, as I don’t wanna step back down to my barely worn 200x50’s.

I’m not a Florida local, and am not sure the surface conditions of where you might move to. I am 95% on road, but want bigger wheels both front, and back.

Maybe @longhairedboy can shine some light?

All I think about when I think of that state is this…and political stuff that I won’t get into.

Thanks for the info. Totally forgot to put location. We don’t know exactly what area yet but most likely between Orlando and Jacksonville on that east coast

I’ve skated in the area around Plant City and it was very bad for skating. Mostly stroads. I was not there long enough to really get to know the area, though.

If you’re up near Jacksonville, you might get some hills, but most trails in Florida are flat and sandy.
