Motors going in reverse for half a second after braking (with no load)

Anyone know what setting can be causing the motors to quickly go in reverse after hitting the brakes on the remote? Im using “Current hyst reverse with brake” for my PPM remote (flipsky vx1 pro) and idk why it’s doing this. Ill provide app settings for master and slave in replies. ESC is the Gofoc dv4s and motors are torqueboard 6355

Slave settings:

The vx1 is almost certainly uart could be the problem, just plug and play.

I see its uart in the settings. Maybe try turning on traction control and set the control type.

it supports both PPM and UART depending on your needs. This was the setting ive used last summer as well with no prior issues

Also the gold showing through the motors phases, make sure their completely insulated

Did you wire it for ppm or uart?

i know lol, its been sitting all winter being moved around a few times so im getting it ready for spring

ppm

Only thing left for me to say is maybe the brake input is long enough to slow and stop the motors, as well as start the reverse process. I dont know too too much but it seems like the current hyst reverse setting does exactly this. Maybe its different when riding it since you would stop and release the brake?

I use current smart reverse and uart on my flipsky remotes not that you have too but they work well for me.

found my old vesc app and its settings from last summer. seems to be linked to the “positive ramping time” old ramping time was set to 0.6 compared to current being 0.4 seconds. Changed it and it now seems to stop throwing it in reverse. Not sure why that was causing the issue

def could be. not having it under load and monitoring for faults doesnt exactly help lol

It happens because you are using current hyst reverse with brake.

Try current no reverse with brake

That isn’t normal behavior for “Current Hyst Reverse With Brake”.
