Its really hard to ship from the UK though, because there is basically no ground services and they hate air shipping cells, he’ll have to use UPS with forms

Just don’t use UPS! I’ve come to the conclusion. Albeit a little late, that UPS is just a scam of a company accountable to no one.

I’ve had cells returned with DPD and Parcelforce, who else can we use?

Thank you for the feedback @BigBen @Anubis , what about DHL or FedEx? Another solution, isn’t there any Royalmail with insurance and tracking number solutions viable?

Did they give you a reason for the return instead of delivery?

You can’t ship liion cells without certification for some brands, and mandatory paperwork. UK → UK you’re fine with any courier that isnt royal mail, I ship my batteries with DPD and parcelforce. But UK → anywhere else off the main island, you’re restricted to a parcelforce/dod business account, ups or maybe DHL with the correct forms, and if they return it you lose the money on the shipment (Hurt me twice :frowning: )

Royal mail does not ship bare litium ion batteries under any circumstances

AFAIK, you are only allowed to ship batteries to Manchester in the UK. Long story short, there is a loophole. Fortunately for you OP, I happen to be in Manchester.

Worst case my sister lives in London, I’m not out of the game before it even started :joy:

UPS are pretty much all there is, but their apathy when something goes wrong is just remarkable. (as you have very likely found out)

Worst courier I have ever dealt with.
I love DHL though. Always smooth and swift.

I’m interested in the spotwelder
Or am I.
Shit now I don’t know
Hell okay.
If you ship the batteries to @Vanarian then ship the spotwelder to him to, if you don’t mind Christopher!
Mondial Relay should be like 5euro shipping within France I think

Absolutely. At this point we have 4 parcels stuck in customs, one for over a month! They also owe us ££££ for parcels that were insured and lost. We now have an account at DHL, UPS are a joke

I’ve had zero issues with ups, in fact I use them a lot. It shows how it really varies from country to country.
I always use use a 3rd party app like Parcel monkey or Packlink. I had an issue once with an ups driver. Complained to Packlink and they must have threatened ups because the next day the driver was extremely apologetic lol
