This is how I did it with my current SB-XL, it rides as a dream… before I used a D-axle but that generated a lot of heat in the bearings, was noizy and wear down the wheelhub that connected to the wheel

Yeah only the sliprings connect. This design is barebones but I do plan to make a cover for the slipring.

Unfortunately my workshop is very limited. I got this cheap particleboard desk that I can’t even clamp stuff to because it’s so fragile that the clamps will crush it lmao. I’ll upgrade this setup soon.
