Would like the feature too my gps on my version for some reason is not found by the metr :frowning:

Can you explain your problem a bit more? So you are using the Metr Pro CAN with the external GPS connected and your GPS position is not recorded?
Please tab on the blue gear in the Metr apps device list and have a look if it shows that the GPS is detected.

To the feature that you would also like (to get the GPS location when the board is lost or stolen) that would only be possible with an internet connection. But as some of you have probably already seen in the pictures thread, there is a Metr LTE in the works.

Nah the GPS is Not detected. Wasent clear in first post. checked the cables seem fine. Everything else works but bummer on the GPS

Do you unplugged and maybe reversed the GPS cable that came shipped plugged in? The JST SH side where the black and red wires are on the outside (pin 1 and 4) has to be plugged to the GPS, the other one to the Metr Pro CAN.

What are the LEDs on the GPS module doing? It would be helpful when you can send a picture or video from your setup and also a log (from Metr App setting ā†’ show log) to support@metr.at.

Few questions:

1: How do you update the time on the Metr Pro module that is reported to a Davega?

2: With SD card installed, I donā€™t need to worry about starting the app on my phone, everything will log to SD card as it would otherwise on my phone, correct?

2.5: To view logs on the SD card, do I need to synchronize the logs with the app somehow for them to show up in the app or is it just automatic?

3: Anyone using Metr CAN or Metr Pro with a stormcore? Is it normal to only see one motors worth of data? I have dual data enabled on the Metr app, and dual data works on my other 2x single boards with Metr pro.

Just connect to it with the Metr app. Time is synchronised each time connection is made.

It will log to SD card only if there is no connection to your phone. If there is connection to your phone, it will log to your phone directly instead.

It will synchronise automatically.

Please make sure you have latest Metr Pro firmware. If you only see one motor, send logs to support@metr.at

One more thing, I notice my logs are not showing the GPS position when not connected to my phone, even though the GPS module is connected and reported as detected by the app. Is there a setting I need to change?

Sometimes it takes a while for GPS module to get a fix. On a cloudy day even longer time. Have you ever seen this icon in the app (Realtime tab) while connected?

It means external GPS got a fix. To start troubleshoot, when you are out on the street, open the app and wait until it shows. If it doesnā€™t show, maybe you need to adjust GPS module location inside the enclosure.
