The 10km before unlocking S and S+mode is frustrating.
In order to log your miles the board must be turned off at the esc.
If turned off at the controller it will reset to last miles turned off at the esc.
Once logged it is good to go.

Why is it a thing at all? Isnt that likeā¦ half the range on the 2p battery?
Sounds to me that new boards have a 22 minute āfreewheel on the benchā warmup time after unboxing
Kinda like what theyāre trying to do with it though? I can definitely see someone upgrading from a meepo voyager or something and just not being ready for the amount of power and/or different handling characteristics.
That said, 28kph seems much too slow for this purpose, especially considering this is a 3-link raceboard. Not to mention 10km is a long distance being limited to such a slow speed. Just my option tho, and Iām not the target demographic.
I hope itās accurately communicated with the consumer (flyer taped to the board or something).

I agree with this, I think as prebuilt esk8s continue to push far past anything āreasonableā in terms of power for someone who doesnāt know what to expect itās wise to place something else between the unexpecting consumer and ~500+ newtons of force. (Admittedly I have no idea how powerful the monsoon is, that could be way off)
Having said that, I think the monsoon is more intended for sale to people who shouldnāt be shocked by that amount of power, I think there should AT LEAST be some way to bypass this ābeginner modeā as long as there is the express understanding that this is a dangerous piece of equipment and youāre taking personal responsibility for your safety while on it.
Boards that weigh more than 20 kg are way harder to deal with in normal life.
Iāve weighed my MLR and itās 20.1kg
Itās very back heavy

If Iām getting familiar with a board I want to get familiar with the full power.
I hope itās accurately communicated with the consumer (flyer taped to the board or something).
Itās in the manual.

Thanks! I wonder how much weigh a SRB SUPERSPINE and a SRB V5 RACEBOARD.
@CarelessAquarist said 19.5 kg for the SRB SUPERSPINE but I donāt know if Lipos are included. (POST YOUR BUILD WEIGHT (with type of battery) PICTS ONLY - #13 by CarelessAquarist)
@MoeStooge can you tell us? Letās say without Lipos.
My V5 weighs 33lbs without lipos.
44lbs with 6, 9500mah lipos
Thats with the previous generation castle/mamba 800kv setup and the standard width BRP tires front and rear. I believe the newer hobbywing MAX4 setups weigh a little more.
Thanks! Amazing, slightly lighter than the MLR! I wouldnāt have expected that.
I tried it on S and S+ and it actually felt better in S+ In fact I could see myself wanting more power than it can offer fairly quickly. 16S2P is decent, I didnāt notice much sag and the board feels Amazing on the track, However Iād really like to see a MLR+ option with more range and higher top speedā¦ I wouldnāt mind a top mount at all if thatās what is required to get there, even if itās permanently affixed and working in conjunction with the batteries in the enclosure. They have done a great job making a really impressive entry level raceboard. I just know it wouldnāt be too long before Iād feel limited where as a superspine or a V5 would offer more to grow into if you know what I mean. Bravo Stooge and Meepo. Bravo!
If there is any left wanting a performance bump down the road for the MLR.
The Meepo 44mm motor plate will bolt up to the stock MLR closed gear drive hanger interface adapter. The Meepo hanger uses an M16 hanger. We left room on the MLR 10mm spindle to accommodate BRP race wheels with open gear drives.
Stacked 56/118 15kw inrunners, open gear drives are possible if one would want to make a full pro level board of the MLR.
Which one as the most stiff ride : Meepo SRB MONSOON with its THERMO-MELT TIRES or SRB SUPERSPINE with R/T SERIES AIRLESS WHEELS?
This Meepo has a LY FOC 100B ESC or a HOBBYWING ESC? The youtube video says HOBBYWING but Meepo website says LY.
Pnumatics will always give a superior ride quality.
MLR uses JKesc. JK was founded by the cheif engineer from Hobby Wing.
