The problem is that the motors are double the price. $50 more for the same motor so it’ll increase my price by 100. Also, I like the look of the flipsky motors better, they seem more rounded.
Which one should I go with?
Any help is appreciated
MT cans could easily last twice as long as the FS cans, depending on a combination of luck and how you treat them. FS just reworked their 6374 cans, and they have yet to be really battle tested, and if I’m not mistaken, they are closer to $80-90/motor after shipping.
You can go cheaper w/ dickyho/no-name motors for closer to $50, but you’re really testing your luck there, and they almost certainly won’t perform as well as the Maytechs.
I imagine you’ll be happier with them. I’ve bought cheap as dirt no-name cans and they’ve been exactly what I wanted, but I don’t think they are appropriate for most ppl.
FS’s new 6374 was made for smoothness vs power, so although it might not be as bad as a no-name, it’s probably at least not as powerful as their OG 6374, which, although it’s a fine motor, and probably worth the $90 or so they ask for it, it still isn’t as good of an assembly as the MT.
What about their old one though? I am using a 6354 so I wont be able to get a newer one either way. I feel flipsky has good reviews on the power and effectiveness of their motors correct?
The motor shown in the OP image IS a C6374 “no name” motor. Not even a flipsky one They detect to 50A and are pretty mellowed out. 170kv. Sensored or unsensored. Literally as cheap as $40 on UK ebay sometimes
Honestly, at this point I don’t know. I’m going to make a pretty detailed comparison thread as soon as the FS motor arrives, because at this point with so much more epoxy on the motors, I wouldn’t be shocked if the FS ones outlast maytech ones on average… difficult to say. Not going to shill them when they’re not even out yet, but I am glad I ran the GB because they seem to be pretty good
