Maytech 6374 170 kv motor with bad sensors

So one of my Maytechs seems to have an issue with the sensors. I thought it was a problem with the unity. But I just put it in a Flipsky 6.6 and when running detection one of the motors comes up sensorless.
Is this something that can be fixed?
I thought it was the connectors to the vesc but I soldered on new extensions

I’ve had this happen multiple times with various motors and just ran them unsensored.

I eventually got to the point where I don’t even hook them up anymore, because it’s more reliable without them. Might have to “hip flick” to get going but that’s easy peasy and second-nature once you’re used to it.

I think I might have a Maytech sealed 6374 stator… I recall one with a bad can/rotor

If you need a whole new stator assembly

ohhh, but I so love sensored FOC… I actually rode last night, and it was not bad. I guess one of the motors is sensored and the other one just catches up. When you run unsersored do you run FOC or BLDC. I am pretty sure I am going to order a set of Flipsky 6384s to put on this board now… since everything else on it is so nice. I just got them for another board, and only have about 35 miles on them, but they were running great.

I may very well take you up on that. I think I am going to open up the Maytech and take a peek in there.

I have 2 starts laying around maytech 6374 sealed and sensored maybe that could help you

@Acido
does it mean you have 6374 motors for sale? what KV are they and price?

I never run FOC mostly because it’s too quiet and secondly because it’s harder on the electronics and thus less reliable.

Those wireless remotes are pesky and prone to signal problems. Run a hardwire throttle/brake. :wink:

BTW I’m with you on sensors, those damn 24ga wires and PH connectors… And with potential to fry the vesc or toss you off the board. And on FOC vs BLDC. For the most part. But every now and then I plug the sensor wire in again, can’t help myself.

I have 2 working 190kv stators, the cans got loose magnets within 2 days of riding…
