Maytech 6355 magnets getting damaged and stuff

Wondering if yall know how I can fix this, if at all possible, maybe replacement can?

Maytech seems like it would be really hard to get spare parts. prob gonna have to scrap it.

would be interested to know what is wearing? I feel like enameled copper wire wouldn’t do that to a magnet.

It looks to me like the magnets were perhaps shaken loose, and are rubbing on the stator

yeah something is moving. is the axle bent? and do the bearings run well?

Bearings are fine and the axl seems straight

put it back together and spin it to try to figure it out?

You said the magnet could have come loose are they loose now? maybe its a heat thing.

Time for a new motor. When are your TBs coming?

Some of the magnets are very clearly cracked and dislodged.

lol I’m buying a motor with a cracked magnet. Hopefully I can identify and replace it.

Where do you get replacement magnets?

The World Wide web

I presume.

Ebay? i bet

I know there is a strength factor as well as size and other things

Hooooah! All the way over there?!?!?

Good thing you have another board.

probably not worth trying to replace a bunch of them.

Same issue, was not lucky with Maytech…Ended up taking of all of my magnets (carefully with an awl), they were easy to release. Do not worry about the magnets north or south poles, get the free manometer mobile app and by pointing to each magnet at a time, you will be able to know the poles using the Y factor (if it negative or positive you have just to arrange the 14 magnets + - + - + - and so on). Clean the can VERY WELL, use acetone, same with magnets…if its necessary use sand paper inside the can. Then put everything back together and you could just glue it with epoxy (neutral with no metals)…They now work better than before, and my magnets are full of pieces glued together. I did not care about making a mess, I used a lot, and Dremel the excess…My trick is putting a lot of epoxy within 2 or 3 magnets slots, and stand the can until is cover the area, then turn it ro the other side, and let it accumulate there with the stupid plastic magnets ring, wait 2 minis to get solid, repeat…At the end I Dremel all the exes with no compassion (fuck I paid a lot for this shity motors)…And…magic happens…My wife wanted tu use the board with the Maytechs…they keep working…But I haven’t used them yet…So…buy epoxy, use Dremel, have to boards and a wife…then you are good go…

Lol love the advice at the end! Where did you buy the magnets?

I haven’t buy any of them, just carefully glued the broken ones to the can, after checking their polarity, and did the battle Harden process…I wouldn’t spend any money on those motors…It is cheaper and better to buy hobbyking SK8 motors…which I did for my other board…
