Yea it’s dyed Caguamas, the grooves are also cut
Very odd, tried to accelerate from zero during a test ride downstairs and it threw DRV errors.
I have set slow ABS, and my settings are these
Motor max 70A
Motor brake -70A
Battery max 30A
Regen -15A
Absolute max current 150A
What is happening?!
Which version firmware are you running? All phase wires okay? More fault info listed from terminal?
6.05 with the Maker X custom firmware.
Phase wires are 14 AWG, running sensorless VSS
Have you tried different sensorless modes?
I have found that cogging can sometimes cause overcurrent faults
I get drv faults when my hub boards cog bad. Unfortunately i cant seem to make my unlimited hubs perform any better. One set on a dv6s and one on a unity. Both throw drv faults if i dont push off
Ok, we’ve made progress.
I went back down to 5.3 firmware. It worked, for awhile at least. Testing on flat ground at the carpark was alright, climbing uphill had no issue. When exiting the subway, i went down a slight slope and when i braked, it triggered a fault. Weirdly enough, when i connect to the VESC tool app and check what fault it is on the terminal, it say’s there’s no fault, but there’s the blinking red light.
This build looks Great!! May be investing in a set of those hubs for myself sometime soon of there are still any available. Currently working on reviving and vesc swapping a Bustin Sportster hybrid v3. Do you happen to know the KV of these motors?
