Mark Rober (ex-NASA YouTuber) using TB motors in video

I’m a huge fan of Mark Rober. He’s like the current-gen Bill Nye, but with much smarter science/experiments.

In this random video of his I happened to be watching, he uses a Torque Boards motor, an esk8 wheel with pulley, and a mini controller for a very interesting use. I won’t spoil it here.

The whole video is great, but if you just wanna see the part I’m talking about, it’s at 5:13

He seems like an actual guy who knows what he’s talking about

Surprising they are able to generate so much energy through the zip line thing though

Check his background. He worked for NASA on the curiosity Rover project that currently sits on Mars. Worked at apple as an product designer in the special something something group.

He definitely knows his shit.

I just watched this the other day and noticed that! My son and I watch his channel and I’ve noticed he has at least 2 prebuilts. I always leave a comment telling him to join our forum and build an insane esk8 lol.

Obviously, he’s aware of Torqueboards and DIY parts.

I bet he has a DIY esk8 already in progress, and that’s maybe why he had the parts around

Nah, he uses the tb motor in another video as well. I think he is just used to bldc motor control.

Why else would he not respond to my comment specifically?

I thought so too, since he also had the wheel + pulley. I haven’t seen all of his videos, so I’m slowly going through the backlog.
