Quick update: I swapped the motors to the other sides and now it’s working without sensors.
But when I plug the sensors in it flashed red until I take them out
So just dead sensors maybe?
It’s a Baja S2, not sure who’s motors they use but i don’t see why they wouldn’t be compatible 
I had drv faults just from using the mobile vesctool
How old is the ESC? For some reason, the most recent DV6 Pro units I setup were a breeze to get going and ran fine on FW 5.03
I did have one unit when they first came out that gave me grief and I had to get it on FW 6 before it would start working/throwing some type of meaningful error. My issue ended up being a bad solder joint…
Also trying to get the FW6 loaded proved an effort and almost sent me mad.
Looks like you are using the app too. That’s deadset all my issue was. Unless you have an older APK I wouldn’t use it for anything other than looking at RT data.
Hey guys, just build my diy using the DV6 Pro and just wanted to throw my 2 cents.
I do get a warning that firmware is partially incompatible, but I just ignore it. Everything I tweak and change works flawlessly, my remote works without issues, and I’m too scared of bricking the VESC.
I just plug in the usb cable on the left side and switch to the right in VESC tool if I need to. No need to replug the cable manually.
Push to start is nice.
Beware when you’re using Flipsky motors, as you will need to re-solder the stock bullet connectors.
Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. There was also no tax if you buy in EU.
I may not be using the vesc ideally, but it just works for me, and that’s everything I wanted from it.
That’s just a vesc tool thing, because they always want u to use the latest firmware, but everything works.

Btw, I am using a BKB Voyager remote and it’s great. However, it always only displays half of the actual speed. Both motors spin evenly and using gps I can tell I reach max speed. Is there some setting in the vesc tool that might be responsible for that, ignoring the settings of the remote itself?
Yeah you need to set the wheel size, motor pulley teeth count, and wheel pulley teeth count in VESC. Should be where it’s pulling that information from

I have, it works great. Just make sure you flash bootloader first. I’m assuming you mean the new dv6 pro and not the old one without the button?
On the old one I still use 5.3

Moving on to this first batch d75 from my 100v UBurst… Do I need to use a certain version of vesc tool with the custom 5.3 fw or can I use VT 6.0?
Anything modern works fine
I have a first batch D75 too, works perfectly fine with ppm remotes and both my uart devices
I am still running 5.3 too, not worth upgrading and risking messing something up when they don’t have the newer firmware. Currently running on 14s and 120 motor amps a side
Idk dude… VT 6.0 kept stalling and not responding, but 3.1 seems to agree with it better… Then again my $100 laptop stalls if I have the calculator open…
i use vesc tool 6.02 for everything. it does a pretty good job of adapting to all firmware versions

Yep me too. Running OG batch of D75 at 140A motor per side on 12s with 5.3FW flawlessly.
*edit: just saw how old this was. My bad haha
Mine randomly threw a overcurrent fault on me after like a year of 140a on 205kv reachers. Be careful. Dumped me off.
