Hey guys, I just got the MakerX DV4s paired with the Flipsky XV2 remote. I ran motor detection, and it was successful on both motors—a 12s5p battery with a dual 6384 motor. However, when I do a test, the board would work when I accelerate slowly, then I would go full throttle and brake I get negative current, and my board would not accelerate at all. Then I would get no response from the board. Can anyone help me with this?
Is there any fault? Go to terminal tab and type faults and see if anything comes up
It gives me abs over current. How do I fix it
Ohh yeah - increase your absolute max current. Whats the current number?
I use 200a i think…dont recall.
100a
12s5p - you could bump to 200a as well
Bumped the current to 150A, Vesctool stated 200A was beyond its capabilities. Testing rn
Still happens, however the abs overcurrent wasn’t immediate.
What do you have motor current configured as? In the picture that you shared VESC tool thinks there 574A flowing. Something is definitely not right there.
You’re right…something is really wrong.
Send us your configs
Have you tried riding backwards?
Is there anything else connected besides remote and bluetooth module? Like metr, davga, voyager etc? If yes disconnect and reconfig. Also could try redoing motor config using a computer and usb… sometimes these accessories will do funky stuff to the 5v rail which will then compromise the drv chip.
My first debugging step here would be to plug it into a computer, and look at realtime data to see if I see anything funky. (Bad data, bad odometry, etc)
