Hey everybody!
I‘m running 6485 skp reacher 205kv motors with 12s8p samsung 50s battery.
I shooted 2 pair of skp solos. Now I‘m looking for a new reliable controller, any what you guys recommend?
Did you contact SKP for the issues? Pretty sure they can help you sort something out.
If you’re set on wanting something else. Makerx is a good option if you want something compact and cheap, pretty reliable from what I’ve been seeing, although there are some kinks you need to keep track of (mostly on 4wd). There’s also the new VESC Duet that just released and looking to be pretty bomb-proof (although no one had their hands on them yet). I personally vouch for the D100s, mainly cause it’s what I’ve been running and it works great for me.
Yeah did reach out to him. Tried to get it back running but as soon i powered both sides on one side didnt work. He‘s refunding me 1 of the 2 i ordered. don‘t want to try solo‘s again since it is the second one. Both together don’t have more than 350km and i had nothing tham troubles with them
Well sucks that it didn’t worked out for you. I definitely recommend Makerx, I run 4wd on mine for like 3k miles now without issue. I was only doing like 140A motor and 70A battery per side in the rear on 21s and it held up great.
I’ll just leave this here.
Just want to make clear I’m in no way affiliated with VESC or Vedder and his crew. Just a friend, site hasn’t been up very long and is still under dev.
Still exciting tho ![]()
What numbers did you type in for:
Battery current, motor L?
Battery current, motor R?
Motor max current, motor L?
Motor min current, motor L?
Motor max current, motor R?
Motor max current, motor R?
Did you leave either battery current at the default of 99A?
The settings where right
Motor current was 100 both sides
Battery was 80
Andmin motor current i don‘t know yet but nothing fancy at all
I already have my eyes on it. Seems to be decent hw, anyone already testet it?
Think theres some videos in vedders Youtube channel, he was very happy with the HW when I spoke to him atleast.
That sounds high. Did you try 20A - 30A battery current first, or just went straight to 80A? Did they both work at a lower setting?
No I didn‘t, because my old battery a 12s4p was rated to go 60A and i did use that for a good time, nothing happened…now i had a 12s 8p rated 120a so i went conservative with 80a.
Pls correct me when I‘m wrong
