Looking for Legacy Style Trucks

anybody got a set of @3DServisas FatBoys that work for street wheel setup?
(preferably the widest mm-axle you have the better, its for cruise-stabiltiy reasons)

If anyone can think of any other brand of trucks that would work, LMK!
The only stipulation is that it will work with gear drives,
is fine for street wheel setups & preferably is closer to 12”
(Anything less than that is too small for my personal build)

I was trying to see what they looked like. And saw these.

Are they just regular RKP trucks?

boardnamics 270 may be similar.

You should really consider Tito’s Duality trucks dude.

I think most of the vintage stuff you are looking for is cool.

But these trucks are so much better than RKP…

Worth every penny…

I am not sure any street gears would fit Dualitys though…

You can certainly match up BN M1 with the BN 270

I’d argue that wider trucks are less stable and that they look stupid.

i feel like this is potential bait, but i’ll bite lol
what makes you say that & why ?
there are 15 - 19 inch trucks out there
that are super stable at high speeds…

No bait, i’ve just never liked wide trucks. Wobbles are more intense and harder to recover from, i prefer narrower trucks for better control

I prefer wider trucks. Less bump-steer  Just comes down to personal preference I think.

I would say that there is a wider range of what is ok with esk8.

I have gone narrower on street set ups in recent times..

I changed the hangers on my Hummie from 220 to 180.

I do think it is interesting the hardcore downhill guys are going 60mph on tiny decks with as narrow as can be trucks.

They almost look like Penny boards to me.

how long are they (from end-to-end)

3ds trucks are obsolete from an era when people didn’t know better. Rakeless hangers with very restricted bushing seats… So they don’t turn. But don’t confuse lack of turning with stability. They are still sloppy because standard RKP geometry doesn’t fully constrain the hanger, thus they aren’t stable either. And their adjustable baseplate also sucks, the set angle gets loose all the time and causes even more slop. The wider the hanger the more leverage road imperfections have and the more slop there is in feel, hence why all downhillers run narrow trucks with better geometries. I have a set of 3ds 275s with their old POM drives installed on them that I don’t ride.

Dualities turn multiple times better yet still manage to be multiple times more stable regardless of width due to their second pivot fully constraining their motion.
