Hey all, new to forum and looking for a battery for my diy. My budget is about $350 plus shipping in the US. (I attached photos of the board)

Did you make that lid yourself? I’m wondering because it looks like it might be raised at the front and back.
I bought one of these decks, or at least one that looks really similar, but mine didn’t come with a lid. I’m thinking about making one myself, but was worried about a slight incline at the front/back.
It’s a custom lid for a metro board deck that I bought of mboards. Me and my friend build it out of 3/4 in plywood then sanded it and painted it.
Oh, that’s awesome! I never would’ve thought to use wood.
I was thinking about using a sheet of G10 for mine. Do you have any tips for someone trying to make something similar?
Speaking of mBoards, did you consider the 10s3p they had in the used section?
Make sure to line the inside of the board with fish paper because it being carbon fiber it is conductive and can cause a fire if that battery were to vibrate enough to wear through the thin PVC wrap.
That battery seems like a cheap Chinese builder, also I don’t think it would have the range I would need to get to class and back. It’s pretty straight forward to make the top plate. Cut out the rough shape, then sand down the underside edge until you get the chamfer or edge you want. You can sand the top to paint it or just grip it.
That’s actually super helpful, thanks! Any fish paper you would recommend or just any generic? Also, anywhere I should look for a battery in my budget and specs?
Once you stand on the deck the bump goes down a substantial amount. I have weather proofing on the deck.
I can give you the 3d model for that top plate and the rest of the deck too if you need
Any chance I could get a copy of that too!?!?!?!
That would be awesome if I could get that! For the metroboard right?

Are you interested in building it yourself?
Not really, if I built it I might get an fbi call on me…
Why don’t you send it and get an mboards one dude?
Or something…
I don’t think a cheap battery is going to fall from the sky…
I’ve had Pecos offer to rebuild me a pack and I’ve had Alex offer me one for cheap in which I’m probably gonna take. Only problem is it’s 12s but I got a flipshit vesc that’s gonna implode on me.
will it still die at 12s if you run conservative settings?
That’s what I’m wondering but I don’t want to figure out going down a hill torwards and intersection at 30mph. What kind of settings would I change?
I am not sure. But it would be worth looking into with the search and asking in the general questions.
I’m basic in regards to that stuff.
But I kinda think lower battery amps and lower motor amps should increase reliability. But definitely ask around.
