Longboard Repair

I got this deck for $7 at the thrift store with the trucks. After taking it home it seemed like a pretty good candidate to practice some wood restoration skills. Damage didn’t seem too structural. Ended up stripping all of the chipping paint. Now how to finish this board?

Nice work. I bought one of these same boards too. Glued up the delam edges, sanded, epoxy laminated one layer of glass on top and polyurethaned the under side. Now I ride it when its raining or take it travelling for work.

Watch out for wheel bite with the stock trucks.

Yeah I sanded it, but it went SUPER fast because all that old paint was flaking really hard.

I thought about some fiberflass layer if it wasn’t great but I try to avoid working with that stuff lol

it looks great bro

Here’s mine, with the glass on top. Most of my e builds I’ve routed and sanded into the base and compensated with heaps of glass. That prototipo behind is double stacked by doing that.

You gonna put motors on the landyacthz or leave it acoustic?

I can’t really ride boards like this so no plans to electrify yet lol. Funny I just found some wheels like that and going to put on my landyachtz. I left them in my buddies truck so i’ll get it together later.

it looks like a miracle, how did you fill in all the missing material is it glue?
