dude how does that even work its warping my brain
You take the first ratio and multiply it by the second ratio to get your total ratio, same as how changing your wheel size changes the effective ratio.
Hereās a good read on the mechanics: Gear ratios and compound gear ratios
It canāt be a two stage. For it to be a two stage reduction on only two shafts, the motor would have to be driven on same position as the output shaft.
Edit , im dumb. The picture doesnt show the motor shaft.
Thereās a compound idler on a middle shaftā¦
ya i guess i was just expecting something like a bike gear⦠wasnt sure what i was looking at
I wonder if the idler shaft is supported in double shear or just from the rear. Hopefully its fully supported, if so then these should be damn near bulletproof drives.
Anyone know what mounting pattern they use, and/or if the motor gears are keyway or d shaft?
get some lego technic gears and play around.
If itās gonna be a production board, good chance itās gonna be D shaft. But it might change given how companies are starting to incorporate DIY parts.
