Yes I will use carbon fiber for sure. I have been doing some more research and will update the wiki in OP post soon.

The ideal ratio for resin to fiber is 70:30… Hitting that ratio is a party but that’s what you are looking for. Prepreg comes with it and uses a vacum to keep its shape. Wet layup generally gets you quite close with the vacum bag.

Is a heated press really necessary or just speeds up cure time?
Press makes it look pretty. In a vast majority of instances prepregs need to be heated in order to cure properly. It all depends on the resin. But if says to heat it you will need to. If it doesn’t say so heating it generally speeds the process.
