Lasercut Aluminum truck plates

If you need a set, let me know haha. I need to make a few orders for other stuff myself so it’d probably be pretty cheap.

oh now that’s a good shout, with their services i can make a LOT more stuff… might be time to start making a small shop out of my garage making custom parts for stuff

the gbomb one has welded screws, the solution to add that to your part would be to add a second plate over to interface with the hex head of the mounting screws.

Adding a second plate over that interfaces with the hex head still requires the two plates to be welded or adhered somehow if we’re using lasercutting to make the two plates

Well heck if they’re cheap please sign me up for a couple - I’ll replace these flatbar bits with 'em after all and take the extra strength that comes with them wrapping around three sides.

Depends on how many people order but at most it’d be 10 for a pair plus whatever it costs to ship it you.

the second bolt rotation locking plate could be 3d printed and clip into place maybe even. near all the forces taken by the metal part below.

lastly CNC version with slots is something to explore. Defeats purpose but still.

lets all just nod our heads

oh wait we are trying to constrain bolt heads not nod em nvm.

Yeaaah it’s a novel idea but with what manufacturing methods i currently have access too, it seems like a lot of hassle for a really niche product

I have an even simpler idea just put a screw or two next to the hex heads so they cant spin.

2.2/10 might draw again

That drawing is about as good as my incoherent explanation :joy:

If there’s a lot of demand for plates with fixed bolts i can do it, it’s just a bit of a pain.

TBF, he beat you to the punch

:rofl::rofl::clap: @Fosterqc

Fixed nuts are shit. Driving in and tightening a bolt can rip grip tape. Tightening a nut on a truck won’t

I mean… A regular anti sink plate prevents a bolt ripping grip tape too, i’ve never really struggled with anything like that. I just hold an allen key on the bolt side and a skate tool on the nut side whenever i need to work on my stuff and it’s fine

With fixed bolts you wouldn’t have to use the hex

I mean… Yeah, but it’s not really that much of a hassle.

Tbh it’s my least favourite part of assembling trucks

So, as an update on all the stuff i can now make. I’m always working on making more stuff, so if anyone has suggestions feel free to let me know. Prices don’t include shipping -

Just checked that site out, and man the prices are insane compared to sendcutsend unless you’re making stuff in huge quantities. Dont think it’s practical for me to do as of yet.
