Yes however I have always been one for testing things myself. The 6880 has a current rating of 65A. On 12s I have always run these at 60A, 80A and frequently push that up to 100A when on the track. I know it’s outside of spec and I may be wasting efficiency but I get noticeably more torque so I can live with maybe wasting some power on the rare few seconds that I go full throttle.
From my reading unless you reach arc voltages where the insulation breaks down then the main risk from HV is a mechanical one. Spinning a motor far faster than it was designed to go will cause havoc with the bearings and other components. To counter this I have added an erpm limit inline with the max unloaded erpm on 12s so they won’t spin to fast. It’s early days at the moment but it’s looking like a promising solution.
I have been running many of the beta builds and have had slight issues with most of them, that’s why they are beta builds. I would suggest that for the moment most people stick with the default build that ships until an official release is ready.
Seems like this changed at some point during development. My beta unit also has something odd with the switch. On beta 6 my red and blue are switched on the button so the voltage indicator colours are wrong, but I have been told this is fixed the the build they ship with and will be fixed in the main vesc branch before the next official release.
EDIT: checked my wiring. My plug is red green blue black White white.
It matches what’s printed on the case but my colours are still wrong in beta 6.

I guess we will we in a matter of weeks if not months the motors which want to play HV and those that don’t.
I don’t think I’ve seen a 63xx motor rated to more than 14s on a spec sheet, I’m kind of interested what the beefy 80xx ones will do

I did reflash stable and it didn’t fix the voltage issue I was seeing.
But apparently flashing using a test jig fixed it. (I am assuming its an swd flasher).
I was also surprised nobody else reported seeing this bug…
This should be fixed in the next release

I had some problems with customs…
Had to pay another 110€ but I still think it’s worth it
