LACROIX Stormcore ESC and iOS app info

Is there any ETA? Please tell me there’s an ETA, I’m about to finish my build and I want a quality ESC :sob::sob::sob:

Yes. Yes I would.

This man speaks the truth. As a point of reference, on LoveChild I am rarely pulling 5kW+ as a 110kg rider with gear + the board itself weighing a solid 20kg. Most often full throttle with a decent hill averages 3-4kW.

The weight to power ratio of a board putting out 4-5kW is pretty nuts. That’s like 5.5-7HP from something that weighs 20kg. Herein lies the power of electric vehicles, power to weight ratio. Hah.

I’m still learning, didn’t know there’s a correlation between Duty Cycle and motor output, now I know.

TBH I was wondering why the big discrepancy between battery output and motor output (in Watt), but put it down to differences in how to calculate, kind like battery vs motor Amps.

Yep! It’s generally easiest to measure power consumption on the DC side simply because it’s a more constant voltage right at the source.

Another way to connect it: the motor side of the ESC is triple phase AC voltage output that varies in duty cycle to change the output voltage and thus impact the speed of rotation. The battery side of the ESC is DC and it’s voltage level is constant/tied directly to your battery voltage.

You should look into the phaserunner if u wanna build an ebike. It’s specially designed for that and has some pretty neat features.
The 100S however would be great to mod onewheels.

Looks like i’m about to order a batch of branded 6374 20S 90KV motors with sensors from Maytech.

I’m assuming some of you are going to want some?

Well this is awkward.

What makes these motors 20s rated?

Maybe you wanting these motors is a bridge that that will bring peace and love to the kingdom. Let the healing begin.

@Eileen says they are.

Honestly I don’t know enough about motors other than when the copper and magnets love each other very much they create fluxbabies that push the shaft.

Lower kv motors use thicker wire? Interested as well.

The only thing I can think of, is at higher voltage you need better insulation to prevent shorting

Well it’s either that, or someone updates a field on a webpage from 12S to 20S and just continues BAU.

I look forward to the ride testing of 70KV 6374s at 20S.

Noob here. Does anyone know if it is possible to wire the 100D in a duel parallel configuration, but with a sensored motor configuration? I have seen it done in the video posted awhile back, but I wasn’t sure if that was a sensored motor or not.

I just paid the ladies. I got a batch of 20. Once I get them i’ll list the extras after I set a few aside for builds.

Dual parallel is still very much experimental, proof of concept is done but we have some back end work todo before releasing that firmware.

At the moment it is on the backburner, but it’s too much of a great feature, it won’t stay long there.

Thanks for replying @Blasto. Would it be possible to run the 100D with the single motor, but only use it like a 100S until there hopefully is some sort of firmware release allowing Duel Parallel to be possible? I am just not sure if I should buy the 100D as soon as it is released, and hope for an update in the future.
