Can this run up to 24S Lifepo4? 87.6‬V max vs 84V max

you do list it as 100V so I assume it’s good.

I would turn one of these into a 24S2P

Looking at nominal voltages, 22S LiFePO4 at 72.6V compares well to 20S Li-Ion at 72V. Can and should is two different things.

Just take away the 4 extra cells?

Yeah, that’s one row.

You’re tempting me to go 22S now, I’m literally 2 cells away (that I have), and my charger is adjustable.

Just realised with my current 20S LiFePO4 setup I’m actually over 18S Li-Ion equivalent, not sure why I had 16S equivalent stuck in my head.

/edit Yeah never mind, I’m happy with where it is.

what charger?

Um, I’ll take photos later. When I say adjustable, I mean via a pot that’s only accessible when you open it up, so not a very big range I would guess.

rockin“ these socks! :sunglasses:

Currently using a flipsky but eagerly awaiting the on sale of the 60D.

Really want to get started with logging but assume that I’ll need the unity metr instead of the one that works with the flipsky once I switch to stormcore?

Correct?

No, actually a Metr Pro Unity will not work with the Stormcore (without building an adapter cable) because it doesn’t have a 2.0mm pinheader port like the Unity but as far as I know the Stormcores come with a standard 7 or 8 pin JST PH UART port so a standard Metr Pro or also upcoming Metr Pro CAN module should work out of the box.

The theoretical max is 95V technically. How close you want to get to that limit is up to you guys, but I recommend 18s at 4.2V for a good amount of headroom and 20s if you want to play it a bit risky. 87.6V doesn’t leave a ton at the top but would probably work? I haven’t run them beyond 84V.

How risky we talking? Like 13s on unity risky or…

More like 12s in my mind but larger quantities and users testing before we know for sure.

12s is 50.4V with a 60V maximum so 9.6V headroom.

20s is 84V with a 95V maximum so 11V headroom.

There is an argument to consider this as a percentage of total voltage too though since people will be using motors with higher flux-linkage more than likely, so I think the best way to know will be testing and failure rates.

Might be good to test that on the scooter vs a skateboard. At lease a drv shutdown will transfer that sudden deceleration into the handlebars,

But good info to know. Maybe 22 s is in order :see_no_evil:

I have everything setup to test it on 20S onewheel, just I need the controller  is similar eta for 60D than 100S?
Around end of June?

sorry if this has been answered before but when will the 100d become available for resale?

also will the 60d be safe to run at 13/14s?

Telemetry is on! Hopefully the weather plays along tomorrow!

I believe they don’t have plans for that currently; just to other complete builders, like Bioboards.

They are rating it for 12s. 13s might work. 14s is cutting it way too close imo.

oh ok thanks
do you know when the 60d will become available
