Lacroix deck and Lonestar enclosure - $900???

Just trying to get an idea of what this would cost.

Was quoted $375 for a Lacroix deck, and $500 for an enclosure, for a lonestar, I think.

Is this what it costs? Would you pay for that?

The deck i’d say yea, the enclosure probably not worth 500.

Anyone ever try if the Flux enclosure fits that deck?

agreed assuming new or basically no use

seems a bit much for the deck if its been used/ has any blemishes

The price of the deck is high but it is not ridiculously expensive compared to the rest of the offering. The enclosure however, I would not pay more than the deck for it, I don’t care if it’s carbon fiber, just use glass if that is what makes the price crazy.

then fair enough for 375$ for the deck

enclosure for 500$ is way to much
prob closer to 250$ sounds fair (reference point of eboosted/ bigben + a bit cause lacroix is premium)
deck and enclosure for roughly 600-650 is prob more reasonable

but since its pretty hard to get hold of a deck and enclosure from them it really comes down to how much you want it

its a premium deck from a premium brand 375$ is high but makes sense when you compare to lacroix prices

i’m struggling whether to build a new board i don’t need, and not really a fan of eMTBs in general, or try to sell the deck+enclosure for what money it’ll fetch.

would probably use the apex trucks if i keep it…

For that price, might as well get this :upside_down_face:

I challenge anybody to make an enclosure of that calibre and then tell me its not worth $500.

Even better, find somebody who’d be willing to make you one to the same standard for $500 or less.

I’d pay that

No doubt it is something difficult to make and with my skills I wouldn’t be able to make something that nice and complex. But they don’t make one off, at scales with all the molds, jigs, processes and cost dialed just right the price could be better than if any of us tried to do it.

Don’t forget research, testing, equipment also. Sounds expensive…?

Don’t disagree at all but if Tim is selling at $950 skint, there has to be some markup here.

Kinda yeah, but they obviously are doing this business thing right if people are willing to put the price.

I have strong opinion about anything that is expensive while there could be more reasonable alternative.
I am the kind of person who would rather buy a Land cruiser than a Class G. All the alcantara, leather, carbon fiber is nice and cost a lot but I don’t need them.

I’m going to try that next week with a friend.

It’s 925 before the skin prices are added. His decks are boards we couldn’t send to customers due to cosmetic defects (ie: pattern wasnt centered) that have no adverse effect on his great skills.
