Hi I recently bought BioBoards 6396 but realized I got the wrong kv for my build so wanted something like 190kv. So I bought the Lacroix 6389 motors. These motors use the same mounting pattern as 50mm motors… 30mm diagonally across center. Instead of the typical 42mm-44mm <—(I forgot which exactly but whatever) anybody know if there are mounts around or if these motors will mount on a fatboy gear drive? I have a v4 urethane drive but dosent look like it’ll mount. Screws are way closer together than I’m used to. Anybody know why they went this route also? If these aren’t compatible than I’m gonna sell them. They’re brand mew I paid 360ish I’d like 300. But if these will work, somebody shed some light. i haven’t checked if they’ll work on my avio MKII herringbone drive yet. I’m gonna check that out today.
Current setup.

Fatboy 270 trucks
Fatboy mini urethane gear drive
BioBoards 140kv 6396

Trampa vesc 6 MKII
You can always swap the motor cap between Lacroix and bioboards motor to work with your setup
Just make sure to put some bolts on the holes Lacroix uses to mount the motors or you’ll end up with broken motors lol
I had the same issue and ended up making some simple adapter plates. They are cut from 8mm stock, bolt to the motor and have the correct threaded holes at the standard mount pattern.
Stoked I spoke up and someone came thru with a solution. I was gonna switch top plates, but than I’d have a new pair of motors that were just paper clip magnets. Lol thanks y’all. This community rocks
Also I just recieved maker-x sv6 ESCs. Any reviews on these. Haven’t found much info on them, except that they barely make the threshold for 12s and that he is tricky with the wording in doing so.
The reason I ask is because I had to replace the shafts on my 63100’s because they were to short.
only 24mm. Might work for a gear drive system, but not good for a 20mm belt driveoriginal shaft|243x500
Bit of a personal question? I guess it depends what length you have already but the spacer is 8mm so I guess it’s the normal length -8mm. I put them in my gear drive and it worked out just right.
