i have had this board repaired, after a hardware error. one thing that is missing now is to replace the item that burned alongside the part, check images.
does anyone know what the part is? i have tried to search this forum for info and also have a conversation with Lacroix & Vesc, as of yet no clear help there yet.
last yellow circle denotes the missing part, what is meant to be there? can anyone take a picture? surely someone out there has an image of a board with the numbers still on the part.

i think the images are not high res enough for me to see what the item actually is. google thinks for me (so called ai) that it is a resistor acting as a fuse.
yes, sorry i forgot.
even before the repair the stormcore did work. meaning i could power it on, the bt controller would operate the wheels, forwards and backwards. the board did not turn off, which is a sidenote at this point..
i also had some errors in the vesc log from the android program. which led me to look at the actual board and not consider it a software issue at start. now the board is somewhat repaired, if you ask me it should still run but that is me guessing. the last item needs to be put unto the board though.
current status is: i have sent all the info i have to the tech across the country. waiting to see what they think or if they can use any of it. but what i really would need is somebody confirming for me 100 that the item is what i think.. or an actual diagram of the circuit with names and details.

So it’s working but not turning on and off? Can you just use an antispark loop key?
it does turn on, to turn it off i would have to dissasemble it. it would probably work with that key sure. but i want to sort it out. we will see how it goes. i might have to sell the entire thing.. its silly not being able to repair stuff because etc.. dont get me started.
From what I can see it says D9 which is a diode, in between the two pads it shows polarity |<
Easy fix if you know how to push solder and can find out the diode value.
If you find the proper surface mount diode, post here and I’ll tell you the easiest way to push solder with an iron…
Ok I looked at link of the sample board posted above.. I’m very picky on solder quality and SMT placement. You need to soak up that solder that has leached onto the left (your photo) pad. Find the diode and once all is cleaned and soldered I would go over that whole board with an eye loop and inspect it for anymore stray solder.
Sorry I’m old and have worked on some serious crap in my time including boards inside missile guidance systems. Yes some say this is “just a skateboard”.. I say it cost X(not cheap)and that board tells me I want to see all the boards now from Exway to Lorentz..
Does anyone know anyone that can fix a Lacroix 100D? If so, I have a 100D that needs fixing.

Just an FYI, Spintend now offers replacment PCB’s for their controllers.

the board is at a professional shop. i personally do not know fully what the actual part missing is.
if anyone knows or has a picture, which is even better, feel free to show it here so i can have them put the correct item on the spot there.
