How many motor poles does the loaded hubs have?
28 poles
A bit smoother on launch but there’s a noticable whine
I havent updated cus the unity in here had a weird sparking issue when i first placed the lid to bolt it up, i then investigated and found that if i tap the area where the caps/output wires were with my fingers it would spark and pop, but yet could still turn on. Okay i think i wont use it. I do have one Xenith left so i swapped it out. And finally bolted it and used an… interesting grip tape. Not sure if yall played this game but yea i printed this years ago.
Gonna do a short test ride tonight! I tried silent HFI but could not get it to work. Normal HFI had no luck also. Hence its on VSS
It rained in the afternoon so i waited till the evening. I did a few rounds in the carpark of my shop. How do I say this…
The stooge DH trucks are interesting… it’s quite different from the longer ones for esk8. I haven’t tuned it much but at its current setting, which looked like a high angle for the front truck at least, is not turning as well…
I like a soft, sharp turning set up, this one is not it. It can lean a LOT, because the red bushing is the softest, but yet the turning does not feel like a lot. Here’s a reupload of the angle i set the linkage rods to
Front
Back
But yea, right now the problem is that it is very loose feeling till it feels unstable-ish, and yet when turning, it does not turn as well as I thought it would
Anyone with experience with tuning stooge’s 3 links? How should I adjust the linkages further to make it turn better?
I think youre running into the same thing i did. They just dont turn as much as you think they should, and if you get them to turn at all they feel unstable
Another way is to add wedge risers i guess, but it could be an issue for my set up cus I have my power button and charge port there already
I might have found out the problem with the crappy turning radius.
The heim is flushed with the baseplate now, i will try to increase the overall height of the truck, and that should hopefully increase the turning radius.
You could also try making your own mounting points for the rod ends to increase angle without having to run a taller truck?
That was harder than i thought
Also had to scratch the paint sadly.
I adjusted the height by increasing 3mm. That did nothing much. Then i adjusted the collars to be further apart. So i removed the lock nut and have it closer to the bushing, and then the collar. It seems to have increased the turning radius by quite a bit. That is good.
