Ooh I have some of those too haha unfortunately one of the sensors and a bearing are starting to go

They’re overrated though they don’t put down the power you want them to

Update on this build.

My 30Q pack went way off balance, like my other 30Q packs built after 2020. So fuck it, i built a 12s4p P28A, with no PCB this time. Getting revived!

I also got @SabreDynamics to help me machine a pair of adapters that specifically fit on the BN220. The original ones are for Caliber II and there is a bit of play/slop. Now awaiting for the clamps to come and its set up time! Man, i have not ridden this board… close to 10 months now.

Its here! And its beautiful. Unfortunately the clamp’s chamfer for the profile doesnt fit so i will need to file the hangar’s chamfer just by a bit. But i think it will be a press fit. Everything else fits flawlessly.

Ah, i need to get that support bearing for the front now.

How extra are you?

Me: machine the tip of the bolt to be exactly 10mm so its flush with the clamp

Now color match the tip of the bolts to the clamp too

Did a 14km commute to work with the new battery and the upgraded hangar adapter.

My stats were crazy good, was drawing 7wh/km.

This was my battery after the 14km ride.

Ive missed you Athena, my best board feel out of all my builds

The remote though

Did you just scoot the board along next to you while you walked?

Haha, i was cruising at 25km to 35km/h, im still a bit shocked at how efficient it is, given the 20/40 gear ratio

This thing needs to shoot flames out of the motors.

I cut a bearing spacer to be 13mm tall, to temporarily use it as this will go in between the adapter and wheel bearing, keeping everything together.

Then, i got a bearing that is 27mm OD, 10mm ID, and then machined the bearing spacer to be press fit into the bearing. Giving me 2mm of spacer to go in between the wheel bearing as well. This bearing gives more support for the wheel gear. @Static did this for his Surfrodz as well but did not have to machine it because the axle was 10mm. Mine’s 8.

Perfect seal! I’ll call this build done and done.

How is this build doing these days?

Doing very well! I ride this once in awhile when i don’t feel like riding my pneumatics, and because of the gear drive’s small size, the gearbox has little to no scratches on it.
