R.I.C.E: Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

That’s technically for sprains/strains, but assists with extremety breaks too.

Well done on your progression @rich, you’re giving me plenty to aspire to! Perhaps you should start coaching

Could be a bruise or even broken. But I’m not a doctor.

My thumb is better but still a problem that’s why I didn’t ride but now it’s time to stand up. Need to fix some things before.

I stripped almost every cable :flushed:

The problem is that I didn’t use stand offs on the bolts that’s why the wires getting squeezed on impacts.

Lesson learned.

My bigger problem is one motor, the shaft shifted inward and i can’t fix it because of the stripped bolt. I already glued the shaft 2 times :man_shrugging:

Damn it!
I was riding and after doing several burn outs in reverse within a short time one side died. The motor was just shaking but not rotating, only the other side. The cables are fine and both fsescs have normal led’s and react to PPM input. Well then I shot a video but the behaviour changed. Now the motor doesn’t shake/cog anymore (just one small twitch) and the other motor spins very slow. I have to investigate further.

Normally I would suspect the hall sensor wires but I fixed them and it happened while doing burn outs :man_shrugging:

That sounds both expensive and boring. Just as you mend, the board breaks!

Yeah and furthermore i recognized the lipos are puffed already :joy:

#DIY

The problem solving and fixing is as fun as the riding imo

I wish you would live closer so you could have a lot of fun fixing my boards

I like riding most, building can be fun, changing parts is nice but what I really hate is fix broken things.

I have to fix things all the time which sucks and is a never ending story. But to see it positive, I like that I can fix most things because I built it. Also meanwhile I can feel the difference if just 1 hall sensor cable is fucked up or more, or if it’s the phase wire or whatever. Learning by doing.

The fsesc and motor is fine but I killed the hall sensor :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
Maybe the fsesc sent some voltage spikes when doing burnouts which would be bad. I have no other explanation.

The motors are shit anyway so unfortunately I need new motors

I liked the 6364 size, more power than 6355 but lighter than 6374. I see no chance to get a 6364 in 150-170kv and 10mm shaft somewhere. I guess the only alternative right now is an APS style 6374 in170kv. 6355 would be lighter but a bit lame, have to think about it.

Unfortunately the upcoming motors from @jeffwuneo are not available yet otherwise i would be interested to test them.

It took 6 weeks but here it is
My thumb still hurts, you can see the fail in the video .

That is wicked mate! (Aside from the thumb injury.)
I applaud you!

You’re really helping me keep my mind on track with my build, despite finances holding me back.

Thank me later when you have bent axles from jumping

Talking about 6364 170kv motors with 10mm axle, have u tried these

| 6374 170KV High Efficiency Brushless Motor 2800W 24V/36V for Four-Wheel Balancing Scooters Electric Skateboards

These come on chinese boards

Also saw listing for 200kv / 150kv one but 2x expensive, these are super cheapo to be honest

In real life they are more like 6370 - 6368, shorter than turnigy sk3 6374 for sure. So title is misleading

Ive been eying 6384 motor 120kv (price range similar) for some time now for ebike project but still havent tested upper limit of that black 170kv motor

Trees don’t play. Sweet video though.

I’d order 2/3x more motors than you need though. These cheap cans from China have about a 50% DOA rate, it seems.

I can confess that fellow chinese emtb rider had humming sound when over 30kph, i believe my china board had some as well but not as strong.

Havent rode my china board for a while but the extra motor I have on hand seems ok.

Phase wires could be thicker but at least these are soft ones compared to motor winding ‘phase wires’ like on turnigy sk3
