Jackson is firing his laser | USA | Laser Cut Nickel and Copper

I’ve gotten my fiber laser setup properly to cut up to 0.2mm nickel and 0.15mm thick copper. I’m super new to this so my pricing will begin lower and individually negotiated for now.

Do not expect me to beat/match/come close to the prices from places like mboards. Expect me to make small quantities of custom precision cut conductors in shapes you cannot buy off the shelf.

Do you want to make the template yourself, or would you prefer we make our own? I’m planning on making a 12s8p pack with staggered double-stacked groups and want full-width tabs on both sides of each group. I’d consider buying them if they’re not too much, but I’m not sure what a reasonable price would be. It’s a lot of nickel. I think each one would come out to about 80x60 mm. I was actually planning on effectively making two 4 p groups with the 30 x 0.2 mm nickel I have lying around and then soldering things in such a way that the two 4p groups were connected, but getting strips would certainly be the less janky way to do it.

Send me a DM. If the shape is simple like you’re describing I can design it for ya with no extra charge.

Just so folks understand what they’re looking at… these 7p tabs are intentionally asymmetrical. They’re designed for a specific application: a curved spread-staggered arrangement – to minimize pack height inside a Lacroix Barrel enclosure. Matching the deck concave and using every bit of enclosure width. That’s the reason the cell arrangement and nickel shapes look warped or skewed.

So excited for these! These laser-cut pieces will be soooo much cleaner and more accurate than the hand-cut hack job I was headed toward!! Pack-building procrastination worked to my benefit this time.
