I've hit 3000 miles/1 year on the Acedeck Nyx Z1 and I still hate it AMA

I’ve had this board since 100 miles when I bought it from someone else here in Vegas. The bushing screw design is awful and I perma ride without the bushings in the front since despite everything I try, the bottom screws meant to secure the bushings are nothing more than show

@unknownuser don’t you have these trucks on your build?

Z1 trucks are more like regular channel, Z3 trucks are the suspension trucks

Z1 is a great skateboard, I still regret selling mine.

I think this guy was a Z3 I rode. Dude is already selling it lol

Im grateful to not have had to rely on the bus for the last year or so and even though I’ve only had a handful of wipeouts on this thing, everytime I did crash was due to the lack of bushings giving me too much or not enough turning radius depending on how wide of a turn I was in when I hit certain ledges. I got super lucky that the back set of bushing didnt have this problem once I replaced the screws once.

What was the issue exactly? The bushing preload screws were backing out?

Yep Shawn right? I did like my Z3, the truck hardware was just fiddly

Yeah the screws weren’t properly secure into the bushing and I saw 1 fall out mid ride! I was turbo sad when I saw it. I’ve gone through 2 or 3 sets of bushings now, 1 pair for the back and 1 for the front. I was going to try a 2nd time with installing bushings in the front but the screw got STUCK and my dumbass didn’t respect that and tried to force it and now the screw is stuck in the groove with no chance of removal

I’ve had to ride like this on my main esk8 for the better part of 8 months so if you see me slumming around being salty, its because of this and the Ares x3 bms fault I dont have the money to fix right now. One L after another

That was my experience with bajaboard until i did a complete overhaul with the electronics. Its a great chassis.

My homie has a z3 and acedeck has been great with sending out new parts. Might be worth it to try emailing.

Oh shit yeah I forgot you actually know that guy haha

That sucks that it got bound up and maybe cross threaded. Some blue loctite probably would have prevented the rest of the issues of them falling out. Pretty much every screw on an esk8 should have some type of loctite on it because they vibrate so much and screws can wiggle loose.

My screw is also stuck in the same way, it won’t come out no matter what, it even damaged the socket of the L-shaped wrench. I’ll have to try to remove it now with pliers and heat.

Doing night shift security at a casino and guess what I find at the bike rack during my patrol :face_with_bags_under_eyes::face_with_bags_under_eyes::face_with_bags_under_eyes::face_with_bags_under_eyes: no more nyx z1 for me. VERY NICE security fucking watches this sketchy looking guy clip the lock and steal my boared with 0 effort to stop him

Damn, did they catch him on video or anything? Keep an eye on local Facebook marketplace and Craigslist etc

The video angle and resolution here is so fucking ass, I’ve given up all hope on catching this guy. Bald black guy, gee what a description. Gonna waste my whole morning making a police report after I clock out of work and then budget for a fucking nomad n1 gear drive at the end of March :sob::sob::sob: another fucking setback for the Linnpower OX

Nah fuck that, I’ll just rock the Stella for 2 months and get the Linnpower OX ER in May but HOLY SHIT IS THIS WAIT GONNA SUCK

I’ve heard from others that the Nomad n1 is 3 times the board the Stella is so we’re having struggle sandwiches for the next week or so cause I’m grabbing that nomad before the OX :face_with_bags_under_eyes::melting_face:
