It would be possible subforum by languages?

We have a group of whatsapp to discourse some topics in Spanish.
Share questions, news, meetings, ideas, etc…

We are beginning to be quite people, so it starts to be a bit messy and we were thinking of creating our forum in Spanish. First of all, we will wonder if it would be possible to have a subforum here, and so we could reach more people and not descend too much.

I don’t know how contact with the admin of this forum.
It would be possible do this?

I think this would be preferable to splitting the community up personally.

We’ve already got French, NL, German and loads of other derivative forums. As long as you guys post really pretty pictures for us to look at from time to time :joy:

Haha! Of course, posting in the spanish subforum does not imply not commenting in English what we are
already here. It is simply to grow and not divide the community.

A non-English-language Sub. is a great idea.

Respectfully Any thread poster should follow in the language posted or at least try to translate before replying, otherwise open season on ridicule applies.

It could backfire we have a lot of assholes here (inc me)

Everyone has an asshole Alan. The issue is that some of us like to show it to people

I believe its the other way round  I hate to see threads drifting into another language, especially when its in german (I’m german :D) and do my best to push it back to english. As you said there are enough national forums already, this one is international. Since THE international tech language is english its the most precise way to share information. I created a short build thread in the german esk8 forum which showed me how difficult it was to express everything in german.

These chaps mostly speak english too. I’d hope that common sense would prevail!

There is a choice involved here, you’re right Brent

Terrible idea. I have enough trouble following the posts in English.

Joking aside its an international forum and the most read language internationally is English.

We want to stay as a community as a whole. Sub forums don’t really encourage that.

@Brenternet irony?

If they don’t we can just UP THE VOLUME AND TALK MORE SLOWLY.

It’s worked on the Costa del Sol for about 40 years now.

Not really Daren. If there’s no sub forum they leave and make their own. If there is they stay and we work it out.

Want them here? I do.

let’s communicate only with memes. But should the memes have english text

Ok I get that but there are already forums in most european countries. Why make this one more complicated? It is what it is and thats it really.

You didn’t get the irony obviously.

There are various active forums/FB groups in Europe. Some people just don’t speak/read/write English, I feel for that…it’s a curse on the internet no doubt.

For this forum to be #1 community space, it should definitely offer an olive branch to those who wanna talk in their native language and eavesdrop & vice-versa for English speakers. The other forum runners won’t like it much but hey…

With the plugin things could get interesting.

For sure if we dont, we miss out on talented people doing crazy stuff, we’ve all seen pics in the past.

I’m ignoring it because there’s no need :+1:

I believe this forum should stay in english, there are enough local forums/Facebook groups for people wanting to share things in their language.
