Is this really an 18s LLT bms?

So I got my 1st smart BMS from LLT and it looks suspicious. It looks like it was a 20S BMS, but they cut some wires off and put a sticker on it… it also has 2 black wires. Know if this is legit and how to wire? It also says BC20…

yes it is

iirc my 13s llt bms is also a 16s(?) bms that they make it work as 13s

I assume BC11 black wire would still go to (+) on pack 11?

it looks like the 11th wire from 0V (actual negative line), so it should go to the series connection between S11 and S12…but im still too new in pack building, might want others to double check my math

The common ones are 10s-15s.

Some of them are auto sensing, where others need to be specifically set in the software.

If it came with the right amount of wires, it needs to be set in the software.

If it comes with alllll of the wires, its auto sensing.

Is there any way to know when ordering if it is auto sensing or not?

It’ll say in the product description.

But if yours says 18s and has 19 wires, you’re g9od to go for 18s.

That’s pretty normal on ones with two connectors. Helps you keep things straight knowing which side is negative on both connectors.

The is indeed legit. They make that BMS for 16-20s depending on which you order is comes preloaded with the corresponding firmware and bridged balance connections where they need to be bridged.
