Is Linnpower Evo MK-1 lite the best value pre-build right now at $1000?

As the title says, is this the best value prebuild at the moment at $1000?

  • 14s3p 50s cells (756wh)
  • belt drive
  • 6370 motors
  • hobbywing controller
  • design looks pretty slick

Yes) but I would take the Pro version on the gear drive.

is that one also the ‘best’ value prebuild at $1400?
(with 14s4p and geardrive)

For this style of board ? I would have to say without a doubt. That is just my own humble yet biased opinion. I opted for the pro version . Pretty darn happy with it other than the grip tape but it’s hardly worth mentioning.

I love this deck, esc and remote however the trucks leave much to be desired. The ESC is super smooth but may lack power for some. Works perfectly fine for me. The Acedeck N1 Nomad violet is a great bargain. Same price but with a bigger battery.

I had very little experience with channel trucks when I got mine . Felt like an old dog trying to learn new tricks . Pretty discouraging at first but after upgrading to riptides and playing with preload I feel much more comfortable. Still I have to agree with you on the trucks . I just don’t have anything to compare them with.

I have also tried the Linnpower channel trucks with Riptide bushings. If you can afford it, try either Tito trucks or 3-links. The improvement in you ability to turn and high speed stability is amazing.

I’ve been considering the Tito’s pretty hard or Matrix 3s . It’s less “divey” than it was and much more stable but like you said the ability to turn is lacking a bit . Maybe it’s not as much as a skill issue as I thought it was .

Sorry for the hijack .

Definitely go for Tito’s. I only had experience with Kaly and BN channel trucks..

I love my dualities. My flux board is big and it makes it feel agile as hell. Already looking to get a second set :eyes:

I agree. Just go Tito. I have tried a few different channel trucks. Tito trucks ride way better.

Duality will just works great right off the box. Matrix 3 with Singularity bushings will need some testing to find your favorite shape/duro, but it turns better than Duality.

Does this board have true current control or is it more of that duty cycle control made to feel like current control?

I think Dualitys would be more of your vibe.

They are expensive, but are worth every penny…

Matrix III with Singularitys also feels great, but you like going fast…

I think Dualitys win there.

If this board came with matrix III it would be ideal…

There it is there then. Dualities it is . Not in the budget being a single dad going into the holidays but I’ll be ready for spring . Maybe Santa will hook me up .

I have a MK1 with Dualities, it just works. Stock trucks kinda might be OK if you don’t know what you are missing…but now I am spoiled, and more robust that 3 links that are awesome too.

You will need some 12 mm spacers to get stuff to line up…but thats it.
