Interest check: mbs rockstar/fivestar internal spacers

22.2mm

I thought fivestars were different than rockstars but the mbs schematic for both shows 38.2 mm outer bearing to outer bearing. What does your master sheet say?

You want 22.2mm spacers for Rockstars. 22.5mm is too long

Fuck thats freaking difficult to DIY with a pipe cutter :frowning:

I am running 10mm axles…is a 1/2” by 7/8” close enough?

Hmmm weird it shows them both the same. I don’t have rockstars on me but the 22.4 mm I linked definitely fit the fivestars.

Probably tolerance nonsense making up the 0.2mm difference

At the end of the day, they (rockstars) are plastic hubs. Tolerance only goes so far.

Agreed :upside_down_face:

Is it bad if the bearings stick out a little because you use spacers too long by a .3mm?

It’s aluminum, just file it down a smidge. I imagine a woodworking sander would work fine if you aren’t emotionally attached to that particular belt/drum

Thanks, I am still going to try pipes and I am not confident I will be able to reach that level of precision

Nice, thanks for chiming in. Which size/sizes will you offer?

For Trampa spacing (18mm) and MBS spacing (22.2mm)
Both will have options for 12mm and 10mm axles.
