InfinitySink Development Thread - 2020 Community Influenced Universal Heatsink

Yep. just add ur name to the sheet up top

I can just do it for you. 1 for unity!

Pricing Poll. Okay everybody, gunna do a price poll. Keep in mind this heatsink is premium. This is not going to be like the stuff I make on my router, look at @Bavioze hubs and his mounts for an idea on quality and finish.

I will also look into black anodize. Higher prices will make it easier for me lol…

Please pick the price that you are comfortable paying…keeping in mind quality and finish. I would like to make a decent bit and provide something nice for the community lol. I know polling on price doesn’t really make too much sense, but all of you guys are sensible people and want to support.

for single escs, these are going to be dual heat sinks, so just want to confirm that your quantities match your setup (so I do not plan for too many extra)

Also if you guys wouldn’t mind clarifying which esc you plan to use with amount of heatsinks, just kinda hard to gauge what goes with what. (sorry, don’t want to be a bother, just need to get it right)

also if anyone can get me hole patterns for storm core and other escs that need to be compatible. I will look as well ofc

I’m also down to pay extra for black anodizing. For sure for sure

@nacho what does that mean though in terms of dual TB6? Like do we need to change our order to 2 heatsinks for both TB6? Or just one heat sink for both?

yeeew. I will do my best to get it in there. I know a few places that will help out. Seems like there is enough qty so probs not too bad. Just hard for customs cause these places have minimums

2 x TB6
2 x VESC 6

now

2 x Stormcore 100S later

ok got it!

Sorry I wasn’t sure if I was still getting any from @Longboardshort I’m down for one at least.

I guarantee this is the kind of thing where a lot of people want them after the fact haha (you should make extras)

haha for sure. Just dont want to spend a ton and not sell em but yea.

and then one for TB6?

and then 3/8 total thickness or half inch?

I don’t think anyone should hesitate to order extras, the market ALWAYS wants more after a group buy. The risk of buying too many is extremely low, that’s for both the participants and the organizer in my experience. The risk of not ordering enough for your changing plans is much higher, imho

@surfnacho , I have none of these esc’s (yet) but this design sounds cool. Will it be compatible with all of these? So multiple tapped holes on the back face for all of these ESCs?

Umm that is the plan, however some holes may conflict and it may get messy so may have to do two versions or something

I’m sure this will probably happen, but maybe try to turn them the opposite way or turn them 90 degrees to try and get them all to fit. If it’s possible of course. Chances are high they won’t all fit

If any have to be turned 90 degrees, the smaller sized ESCs would be a better candidate for that 90 degree turn

I am working on it rn, if it works we will go for it

Slight increase in plate size and offset if escs could address this. Screw Hole sizes aren’t large
