This is for focboxes without their case. it’s got the seat for the fets to be thermal interfaced to.

seems less universal. perhaps the mounting holes on the stock base case would be preferred.

They still screw in through the top half of the case and secure through those holes–isn’t that still the same as the base?

right, I guess the outer dimensions change, but the hole pattern would be the same ofc. We can just find OD of the whole unit

stormcore and unity have same hole pattern, but stormcore’s port placement might interfere the screw location for enclosure mounting (if u plan to have enclosure mounting hole on the longer side of the heatsink)

hey man, can you just put an estimated number on the sheet assuming all ur discs are supported. I will do my best to support as much as I can, may have to do 2-3 versions

TLDR so apologies if its already been suggested, but I think a ‘wall’ around the fin design would be an advantage to people who want to cut it through an enclosure.

It would give a perfect outline of where to cut and would also give a nice edge to silicone up to all the way around for better sealing.

Yeh that’s the plan. I have already made a few heatsinks and they have the wall like ur talking about.

I agree 100%. I’d also make sure the corners have a radius like maybe 2-4mm but definitely not a 90 degree corner because square holes are hard to drill

I will experiment with fillets and chamfers on edges as well…But also wouldn’t you just dremel if it were right angles?
