I'm using my Esk8 to do DoorDash in Vegas, any tips or advice I should look out for?

I’ll also mention lots of folks are upgrading wheels atm and getting rid of their old ones. There’s some good deals if you know where to look (recently saw a master v4 for $700)

Actually the speed is great for your personal situation. I have nearly 10,000 miles on mine and 90% of those miles are commuting in the city. I also have multiple Esk8s, EUCs, E-bikes, E motos, electric pit bikes, minibikes. The nice part of the Speedboard is it’s light enough to easily carry up, a few flights of stairs and can Handel almost any terrain you throw at it. Also gets great range for its weight and it can charge to 80% in about an hour.

I’ll second what @Dinnye said. If your next buy is gonna be for hobby, buy whatever. If you’re planning to use it to do deliveries and make money from it, get an EUC. I ride both EUC and esk8 for a while now, 90% of the stuff you do on esk8, EUC just does it better. EUC is pretty much maintenance free (if you treat it well), only things that wear out are the bearings, suspension and tire. I’d also recommend the Lynx if you’re looking for the sweet spot between range, weight and price. I’d also recommend buying used like @tuckjohn mentioned. Lotta folks are jumping on the new wheel train, you can prob land on a good condition wheel for a decent price.

I’m doing my best to thug it out but it has dawned on me that I’m doing this shit in the coldest part of the year IN A DESERT. Yesterday sucked, my fingers were freezing and I had to loiter and charge inside a Taco Bell while waiting for the bus for the ride back of shame.

It’s slowing down due to everyone’s new years resolutions for less spending and more gym time, holiday spending blah and I don’t like my income being this iffy with loan sharks down my back.

I might put a pin in this and come back to this project after working at a call center for awhile to reset my credit cards and loans until mid march or april when it warms up and I can get that shop pay approval for the speedboard.

I see the value of an EUC and definitely want one for the hands free approach alone. Have to carry the phone in the same hand I hold the drink or DRINKS in during the winter has definitely made me regret my life choices up to this point

Yeah definitely try and find another job. Food delivery is pretty good option as a secondary income, but being reliant on it sucks.

Kinda sucked cause temperature change a lot in Vegas cause it’s a dessert, it’ll be hot in the morning and freezing cold at night.

Alot of the money and orders dont really start until 4pm-3am but holy shit the temperature change with the sun going down and the wind picking up quickly turns this into more work than its worth with how slow things are going post new years

Going to suck it up, keep these long john’s on and try a few more times over the weekend with new full finger gloves but the wind factor has already made sk8ing and dashing more of a chore than when it was super fun 1.5 weeks ago

Get a wind proof layer. Cutting the wind is your priority when weather gets cold. Frogg Toggs is good if you want something cheap and don’t care about looks.
