@Andy87 every how many km do you tighten the motor mount oppressors?

You meant the motor mounts? Usually just once when I install them and than from time to time I check if everything is still in place.

Yes, the motor mounts
Do you put some kind of glue?

Yes I use red or blue loctite on all my bolts.

I guess I soon have a bit a story to tell about all the rebuilding of this board, but for today just a small sneak peek on where I’m heading at.

@Andy87 can you post pics of the steering dampener setup? Please and THank You

I no longer use the steering damper but I found an old picture. @Agressivstreetlamp

Is this epoxy on windings will not effect colling too much ?

Yes it’s epoxy on the windings.
So far I do not have had any issues. Maybe if you run them in dual and push them really hard it could be an issue.

Ok, so how to start?
I never thought this board will end up that big, but well, here we are…
I wasn’t super happy with the 10“ tires and I also didn’t like the winter studded option I made with the 10“ tires last year so there was no other choice than to go bigger.
Inspired by @Duffman I started my research about 11“ Gokart tires and the best way to install them on my trampa trucks.
First I considered the Meffo Ice slider, but the shipping and import did hold me back to get a set of those.
I found some nice Gokart tires in a local shop here which should work just fine as well and if I remember right I ended up with around half the price the Meffo tires with hubs would cost me to get them delivered here.

So this part was covered. Next problem was the hub adapter.
In fact it’s not a big thing to design an adapter and as duffman already shared some drawings on his adapter it was easy to modify his adapter for my needs.
Here a 3D printed mock up

The manufacturing of those adapter was more a challenge, but luckily @taz offered me to help me out on this one.
Once more a big thank you to @taz for this adapters. Without you all this wouldn’t be possible.

To get the hubs on the right distance I used some Etoxx truck extensions which saved me from removing the axle and change it to a longer one.

The escs have been changed from the maytech 200A to the Uboxes.

CAN bus cable was routed inside of the deck and covered with Sikaflex

I wanted to get a custom heat sink cut out of Alu as mounting adapter for the escs, but than I found those cheap heat sinks and thought, for what to pay that money for a custom one…

I use my Hoyt puck as remote and one of the front escs has a metr module connected. I‘m interested how those escs will perform.
For now I plan to run 12s only, but might get to 15-16s in future.

The weight settled at 29.4kg without batteries.

That’s it for now.
Sitting here and waiting for the rain to finish to give it a first test ride.

You always welcome to come for a test ride
On your own risk thou

Hi Andy, only for info, what is the advantage of these shaft extensions?

Hey! It helps to do not get wheel bite while turning.

I know this happened a while ago, but I have experienced this and learned the hard way. After getting all my parts from Trampa, I quickly assembled everything. I later found out that like you my trucks had all completely locked on. They were stripped to nothing.

The problem is both the nut and trucks are bare steel when ordering new sometimes. YOU HAVE TO GREASE THEM. Without this they will lock up and cross thread. After reordering I was able to grease them and have no further issues even a year later.

Hey! Yep that’s exactly how I’d do right now. Bit of grease and slow movements when tightening the nut helps a lot.
I think my last trampa hanger came already with a bit of grease on. Maybe they do add some by now. Not 100% sure thou.

@Andy87 hey when you had hw two dual ESCs how did you connect the both of them together with one receiver?

The time I had two separated batteries, I did use two receiver, one for the front and one for the back which I bind to one remote. With the GT2b remote you can bind up to 5 receiver to one remote.
The time I hade one battery for all, I just used CAN bus and one receiver to connect everything. It’s what I would recommend as well.

Those tires are so little… What is the weight of them?
