I owe you all an apology

I am not sure this is your wisest choice of words, Dave.

I sent you 4-6 emails man. I believe around… mid July, then one every few weeks after for a bit? I know they weren’t replied to by Dec 20th, though I now no longer have access to the email they were sent from (temp work email)

I have not lived in California for a few months now. If I did, maybe I would take you up on that offer.

I told @mccloed I would pay for the remote. Unless I misheard, he told me he wasn’t worried about it. I do not understand why you feel the need to bring him into this - however, if he would like me to give him any money for it, I will immediately, as I very much appreciate the fact he let me use the board. I also broke his 3D printed light, which I asked him how much he would like for it. He also said not to worry - but again, I’ll instantly throw money his way if he gives an amount/PayPal. Could also repair the remote charge port for him myself, I’ll cover shipping both ways.

While I’m sure you don’t feel the same way towards me, I still appreciate you Dave, I just think your business ethics/methods are bass ackwards, and some of your designs/the designs you promote as a vendor are poorly thought out, perhaps rushed, and somewhat untested. I don’t think people who just lurk on the forum deserve to buy something they think will be sent to them in working order in a week and then not have it sent for weeks/months, with no communication whatsoever…

No, I broke the charge port of his remote, along with a truck mounted light. I feel somewhat guilty I never gave him anything for it - but if somebody tells me don’t worry about it, I’ll take their word until they ask otherwise. I’d gladly give him whatever he feels necessary (within reason)

Definitely a low blow by Dave tho…

No I’m pretty sure him making comments on you owing him a maximum of $50-100 from a broken remote is ill advised given the amount of money he still owes people.

Yeah… I’m also pretty sure a slightly bent charge port on what I thought was a DIY remote in the first place isn’t exactly broken, just damaged (unless there was more damage than I was aware of) but as we’re all aware… we all have different opinions as to what is what. Whatever it is tho, it’s on me cause I did it :man_shrugging:

@Psychotiller I’ll send you guys a 1.0 OSRR to replace the broken remote. Consider that debt paid, so rather than deflection:

How about an update on your timeline for paying back those still owed money?

Really Dave…
I love and appreciate the things you’ve done for myself and for this community.
But this is not a good look dude.
You’re gone for weeks or months at a time while multiple customers can’t get a hold of you or any kind of response and this is the post you choose to reply to? Really dude?

I have been a bit vocal, I have been a bit rude but you know why? Its passion. This whole shebang is bloody passion.

When someone you ultimately respect lets you down its like a kick in the fucking balls.

I have a policy and its a small thing but its how I live my life.

You ask me for something then its up to me whether I give that something but its not up to me to make sure that something is reciprocated.

Its yours.

You don’t want to make good on that then thats fine but then you will never be able to ask me for anything ever again will you?

Your loss not mine.

This community has never let me down where this policy is concerned.

I hope this is not the first time.

To be honest I learnt the hard way most of the sellers are not company’s there selling products there selling prototypes for profit. All fine until some thing doesn’t work. This includes the biggest company’s in the DIY Forums and battry builders.

If you still want to buy these items use PayPal and open disputes. This is what has affected Dave PayPal shut him down and removed funds from his bank account because he did not sort it out in a reasonable amount of time.

My thorts if PayPal has not taken action how much more would Dave have continued to take from customers making a even bigger hole? I do not see PayPal as the bad party in this thay have tryed to protect customers.

PM me. Didn’t see yours until just now.

Gist of attitude here:

Seller still active and trying to refund: Fuck you do it faster your shit sucks why don’t you go die

Seller who ghosts community and take everyone’s money: What an ass sucks for everyone good luck next time.
