I did not know that disposable vapes were a thing

Apologies if this is a dupe

This guy made an e-bike battery out of recovered cells. Stunned I am that they allow LiIon batteries in a disposable device. I recall that the early vapes had a screw-on battery module that was retained and re-charged via USB.

On the other hand - an unlimited supply of dodgy cells for PEV builds

Yep. It’s extremely disgusting. The amount of trash, e-waste, and other hazardous waste that goes directly in the landfill because of disposable vapes is completely evil in my opinion.

They will be banned in EU effective by end of 2026.
From then on only multi-use pens :+1:

I wonder if I could find a bunch of used ones or do a refund scheme type thing. I would have to find one and use just one type with decent cells and that meets a few other criteria. Maybe a few addicts or local teens would sell them for cheap.
