The motors are a bit of a strange mounting pattern that don’t go on many readily available mounts. At least that’s what I thought, @DerelictRobot would know more than me though.
yeah, its a non standard mount pattern, so a group buy would likely need to include the mounts as well.
My understanding is they aren’t interested in selling the mounts separate from the drive rain, either just motors or the whole thing.
The drive train is currently for sale, link below, but it is pricey.
Dam thanks gentleman
Everytime I see that mounting pattern, it makes me scratch my head.
Me too, I’d still love to have a set of them. On TKP’s & Psychotiller’s quick 66 plates it would be badass.
I’m definitely down for a set, assuming the price is within reach, I’ll figure out how to mount them. FOr most people, it would need to be an entire drivetrain, I think.
That what I was kinda hoping for moons lil wheeled 3 gear on Sr 127 tpk single front and rear… on a lil slalom full bag deck or subsonic spirit…trying to stay light but powerful
that sounds fun
Ya I’m just on the fence with which motors to pick lots of reading time before spring which is coming quick now …
I’m looking at the Lazyrolling motors too, waiting patiently on the release of those. For now, my go to is Psychotiller Maytechs or TB 6374’s.
Additionally it’s my understanding that they really aren’t making much on these motors. So they really can’t give much of a discount on them.
This is the first for me to hear. I’m kinda looking for a solid 5065 which is hard to find that not temperamental with heat to give good power or a 6355 which the maytec has been the winner so far …I’m leaving the 6374 for the DH inspired build I’m doing . I have tb 6355 which has been great for almost a year …
Some maytech motors are battle hardened?
check out the Ollin 5065’s. They aren’t listed on the site anymore but they are rock solid.
Edit: email him, he might have some laying around.
To be fair, that diagram is somewhat inaccurate. I’ll explain once I’ve located coffee. The vending machine in this hotel only sells beer and false hope.
No idea, I would love to see them though.
They’re in our office and we killed the project.
Shortly we was from the start building a Landyachtz Evo Carbon fibre deck with a integrated flat 12s5p and a herringbone geardrive powered by those motors.
But we changed our mind, and spent all we had on the ARMORED COLLECTION to stay “neutral” in the global community
Was there anything special done to these motors compared to other 6374s? I bet someone in the community would be interested in taking them of your hands if you want to sell them
Nah, we made the copper thicker and not like Maytechs super thin wires. Also we made this shape in the cans to make it cool down faster but maybe it just looks a lot better than flat cans.
Here are the motor on our Caliber mount with herringbone gears
That looks sweet! Kind of wished you went through with the board project so we could see the end result. Seems you have great attention to detail in your products. Keep up the good work! Maybe I will buy some armored gear from you
