Looking for advice on how to use the “trim” button on a hoyt puck remote…
You want to calibrate the remote/ set a different center point?
According to Hoyt you shouldn’t ever need that button.
Imagine if they were in charge at Staples?
Am i too European to understand this?
If you’re ever asking, the answer is yes.
Step 1: You don’t.
Thanks Jackson!
Ended up having the puck on setting 3 and had the throttle inverted… problem solved without needing trim. Thanks everyone. Absolutely loving the tilt remote on the onewheel Vesc
you’re using a remote with a one wheel? how does that work? It’s a balance scooter…
It works by making it safer to ride. But also probably works exactly the same as our boards do. Still need to lean forward or backwards when starting or breaking. Only real difference is that the platform on the one wheel will move with you when doing it
so it uses balancing functions to stay up just not for accelerating while maintaining balance. Crazy lot of math going on there. still head asplode.
It’s reserved for future time travel functionality. That’s what I was told by Hoyt, so that’s what we’ve been putting in the Defiant manuals and videos.
Balance algo still does the same thing, but remote can override it for more ideal angles for hills/park.
Pretty ingenious IMO
that is crazy genius. I should probably spend some time figuring out what’s wrong with my float wheel setup soon. never did get it working, bad sensor wires or something, not sure what.
The FW has made some pretty bug steps in the last year from what I know. Sounds like they finally have it as smooth as FM algo, or at least very close.
I’ve got 2 vesc builds now, i much prefer them over Future Motion. I was planning on Keeping my xr for a “control” board. But it only took about 2 weeks to change my mind and swap it to vesc.
There really isn’t any comparison now, that tilt remote really changes the game.
