I’m going to put in a strong vote for hard pads that slide. And learning how to fall.
I had a heavy padded leather motorcycle jacket on. Came off not going that fast on the pavement. Instead of my elbow sliding, it caught and all of my body weight jammed my shoulder up into my ear. Broke my shoulder blade… If it had slid I probably would have walked it off no big deal.

It’s a breeze. Trigger, thumb, puck, you name it, all easy to hold and handle.
