Seems like Bluetooth is constantly searching and using my phone battery even when the Vesc isn’t powered and shows not connected.
phone broken, throw it away and get a new one
That sounds safest but it’s a new phone n I want to risk it.
Just close the vesc app
Does iOS even allow you to do that? Long time android user here.
To turn off apps? I would assume so
but I am also a long term android user. I find it very difficult to believe that IOS runs everything all the time tho.
I only recently learned that you can’t* get your photos off an iPhone through a cable unless you go through whatever Apple’s version of online photos is. If these were 100% true, I wouldn’t put it pass Apple to not let the average user close apps (or remove them memory).
I can’t be bothered to figure these out on iOS as no one in my circles has asked me for assistance with their Apple device yet. Maybe there’s a way. With caveats.
*not for the average user anyway.

Maybe open enough apps that the memory management system ultimately decides to kick VESCTool from RAM.
I only just recovered photos from macs that I put out of service many years ago.
Apple can go and fuck themselves to hell with a sharp stick.
Eh? On a Mac, you can download the photos using the Photos app. On a PC, you can use the built in Windows Photos app. Adobe Lightroom and the rest of those types of apps (DxO, CaptureOne, etc) also can import them; basically anything that can see a USB-attached camera device.
I don’t know why the iphone users I talked with couldn’t/didn’t do it that way but I’m not an Apple user and the company’s history of restrictive decisions lead me to believe it’s not past them to prevent such a use case.
