Sean? Did you hack Andrew’s account?
esk8 stuff needs to handle fat riders, it’s a design requirement
I hear that b264 guy is a bit fat, too.
I’m purely projecting. Have you seen me?
Would you feel safe going over 60mph with those trucks up front?
I wonder if while allowing lean channel trucks would have done any better for stability.
Snapped my first hanger today. I am pausing before just slapping on a replacement (and hopefully not just repeating all over). Just my theory, but maybe street wheels transduce more stress to the trucks than pneumatic AT wheels. Bigger wheel diameter and better compliance should result in less jarring forces on the trucks. Mine was set up with urethane wheels, and I noted that most (but not all) broken setups on this thread are with street wheels.
i think they most definitely do lol
I ride offroad on pneumatic wheels ive snapped several baseplates clean in half and too many motor mounts to count
Is there a guide on how not to break a truck?
I know a guy who would benefit from it…
I gave him my r6 trucks and they were bananas in hours
same i’m just glad that i preordered them and saved them
I wonder whether I should just not bother with urethane wheels… Maybe rigid trucks are just not cut out for zipping around pothole-ridden tarmac at 30 mph with urethane wheels long-term. And really hard to tell when they’ll snap.
after switching to pneumatics, i’ve never went back. they’re just a lot more comfortable and i don’t have to worry about ground clearance
