How much do you sag?

I just finished my 10s4p 30q pack and saw 2V of sag (from 36.2V to 34.2V) @ 60 battery amps.

You better start building a battery NOW. Unless that’s an 11S LiFePO4 battery… but I assume it’s a 10S li-ion

Might also want to lower your “battery amps” number to strain it less

I run the SPIM08HA’s from Battery Hookup on my EMTB. I Havent a speed controller to test with, I can report back regarding the drop from those (Ill be assembling and testing two Cheap-FOCers on Wednesday).

Ill hedge my bet that the sag shouldnt be that bad as they are 200Amp LiPo pouches and I’m not hitting that kind of draw with 4.XX hardware.

I’m looking at 5volt sag pulling nearly 160motor amps on 12s6p Samsung 30q.

Wow those motor amps, you must be accelerating hard!

I just have a lot of power coming from my trigger finger.

I’m 6’1” and 200lb. Not heavy not light. I full throttle from heavy breaking a lot. Stop sign life.

I do that as well. might be a bit less than you, but on flat grass/gravel I reach 100A round about and with it my front wheels take off or the back wheels start to slide. I could imagine myself pulling 200A maybe on a hill from 0 with full throttle but not on flat. Still crazy numbers :grin::ok_hand::+1:

Sagging also makes me feel uneasy…

How low would you go on a 12S pack as a minimum Voltage without damaging the cells ?
Usually I stop riding my board at around 40V but not sure what others consider safe.

My Board sags around 3-4 Volts when going up a forest trail

Start stop gang assemble. :joy:

~5V sag with 12S6P Samsung 30Q. 6374 170kV SK3s and VESC6s.

Yes, acceleration is quite wild. :smiley:

so what do i miss…
same pack, he pulls more amps than you, but you both have the same sag? :nerd_face::face_with_monocle:

I sag a bit less. :wink:

not much at all. Maybe 2% when i jam it. my set up is programmed for 55 max amps and is running a 12S5P 30Q pack that’s a little over a year old.

it´s just because of that angel hair…that gives some extra boost…it´s not a fair comparison :roll_eyes::joy:

They don’t have the same sag. If you want to check sag, you do it at the highest battery amp draw.
@esk8manbabes goes from 46.0V to 38.8V hence 7.2V sag at 87.5A
@Murloc992 goes from 45.3V to 40.4V hence 4.9V sag at 69.6A

I lied again. Fml. :laughing: Thanks @taz.

What magical cells is this pack made of? Sony VTC?

At 44.7 is when I start accelerating. At 46 I am still braking.

So that would be 5.9V sag then.

evil sorcery and lies.

i wrote 2% but i meant about 2 volts. it depends on the terrain of course. But i’m also not drawing anywhere near the packs actual capacity. a 5P can deliver 75amps continuous on paper and a little more in reality but i’m only drawing 55 in settings.

Is this a single motor build? You’ve seen mine and sayekim sags compared. I really doubt 2V, but maybe.

how the cool kids say it…

METR OR DIDN’T HAPPEN

Or as Hulk would say it.
55 puny amps :rofl:
