Haven’t done anything to my board for a little while… so of course I’m contemplating going 4wd. Just wondering how many battery amps are needed to get those 55 reachers running well at 16s
I’m not in the know but I’m gonna throw out my guess here:
“more”
As much as they tolerate before overheating. I think 75A x 4 be ok probably
Reacher makes a 6355?
Surprised me too
Full send had a batch of them as well when they opened.
I’ve gota set but haven’t used them yet
I think they made multiple versions judging by their site, but they don’t advertise much of a difference between versions
Thinking as a pair up front 75 motor 20 battery to support some 85’s in the rear running 110 motor 50 battery. Board gets pretty tail happy under brakes and acceleration on meepo 165’s. I’m thinking this might be a good solution?
yes.
i haven’t even built my mtb yet but my current 2wd plans already have me a little underwhelmed. will see how it goes tho.
Damn Jones’s
Bit of shuffling and I should be able to fit another controller up front.
Just ordered the motors but need to find some shorter evolve style mounts that have some angle adjustment.
173kv 16-72 in the rear 170kv 15-65 in the front.
Not sure how that motor/gear combination is going to react at top speed as they are slightly different between front and back.
Might be fine but be good to hear from anyone who may have done something similar.
Yeah I don’t think I’m going to find mounts like I have in mind so I’ll just run the 4 identical ones and have room to run the same pulley combinations. The 3kv only puts me out 1km/hr up top.
