ya ;/
Mostly, there was two spots that where too dangerous and I went back to regular for those. A dangerous road crossing and a steep bumpy downhill area.
Really makes it feel like you have never skated before. And makes it feel like the trucks are way too loose.
Although looking behind you is more comfortable than regular.
The highest I’ve been able to hit on multiple occasions is 43mph, I know my board has a solid 45 in it but the journey after 40 is quite butthole clenching. Will continue to push for 50 in the future tho lol
Thats one thing Im really good at.
I can know slide switch and get up to around 25 mph before it gets a little sketchy.
I learned by using a ripstick to work up my balance switch and then just riding only switch when Im not going that fast. Took a while but was well worth it.
I can ride switch but for whatever reason when I’m switch IM 200% more comfortable doing heel side slides than toeside slides.
ESk8ing is the one board sport where I wish I rode goofy which is switch for me. I would much rather be facing the road than the sidewalk when I’m riding in a bike lane, for instance. Maybe I just need to move to a country where they drive on the left.
I ride goofy and never thought about that… ya I definitely like facing the cars.
Yeah I love that about being Goofy
Riding regular in Australia I’m facing the traffic. Luckily in Melbourne CBD the speed limit is 40kph, which my board can reach.
Not sure why my graphs never visually represent the speed correctly but here ya go
They never have showed up right, it’s annoying. My esc monitor app showed the same top speed so I assume it is correct
Recalling the ride, the gray in the back makes more sense to be the max speed but
How many miles did you go?
That trip was a bit short, 8.44 miles. We were running my friend’s new board, first cycle on his lipo’s so we had to cut it shorter than normal.
The blue and grey must be representing different metrics then, grey is maybe speed, and blue maybe wh/mi?
Strava is an excercise monitoring app - it doesn’t have access to my board data sadly.
Maybe it’s calories in Blue?
The blue is the speed overlaid on top of the elevation chart in gray. Took me a minute to figure it out.
I hit 40mph with 16:36 belts drive on sk3s. I don’t skate fast anymore though, recovering takes too much time if you fall. Fastest fallen was 34 only suffered minor bruises and road rash, I felt too lucky. I feel like the faster you fall the better you slide lol.
Since I switch to enertion hubs I dont darn go over 25 XD. I dont want my wheels falling apart.
Does appear that way huh
